| The year was 1931. On a corner lot in West Los Angeles on Santa Monica Blvd., our Grandfather, Robert Wertz, founded Wertz Brothers Furniture.
His sons Robert Jr. and Lawrence took over the business until 1969, at which time Robert and Lawrence split the business. That same year, Lawrence's sons Mike and Larry entered the business, soon operating up to 4 locations.

In 1994 Mike and Larry purchased the business from their father. Mike and Larry continue to own and operate 2 locations. The first being a 55,000 sq. ft. furniture store located on the original Santa Monica Blvd. site, which showcases furnishings from local estates and Europe. The second being a 20,000 sq. ft. "antique mall" located on Lincoln Blvd, in Santa Monica, called the Wertz Brothers Antique Mart. The Wertz Brothers Antique Mart incorporates 190 antique and collectible dealers occupying 106 booths and 84 showcases.
>For the last 76 years, the Wertz's have truly run a family owned and operated business. With the help of 34 valued employees, Mike and Larry, along with their sons Michael, Mark and Ryan, they continue to carry on the tradition.
